Exceptional Rota Nanny–Governess (International Family)

Salary: $250,000 per annum

• Schedule: 14 days on/28 days off (rota)

Overview

We are seeking an outstanding third rota Nanny–Governess to join an established childcare team caring for a bright and engaging 10-year-old girl. The family is international, dynamic, and maintains the highest standards across all areas of their household.

This role joins a three-team rota structure, with each team covering specific periods. You will work 14 days on followed by 28 days off. Despite the generous off-time, candidates must remain responsive and “switched on” as part of the wider support structure, which is reflected in the highly competitive compensation package.

Role Responsibilities:

Childcare & Development

• • Provide exceptional, nurturing, and emotionally intelligent care to a 10-year-old girl.
  
• • Support her education; although not teacher-trained, candidates must be well-educated, articulate, and confident assisting with school commitments.
  
• • Promote independence, curiosity, and healthy routines.
  

Educational & Project Responsibilities

• • Each nanny is assigned a dedicated long-term project on behalf of the children, for which they have independent responsibility.
  
• • Work collaboratively with the Head of Childcare and the broader team to ensure continuity, consistency, and high-quality outcomes.
  

Household & Team Dynamics

• • Communicate respectfully and effectively with an extensive household team, including drivers, security, chefs, and housekeepers.
  
• • Uphold the family’s expectations for professionalism, discretion, and seamless teamwork.
  

Travel

• • Accompany the family on extensive worldwide travel, including remote and exotic locations such as the Galápagos, summers in Europe, and Christmas in the Caribbean.
  
• • Ensure the child’s routine, wellbeing, and learning remain consistent during travel.

Candidate Requirements

• • Must hold a valid US passport/ Green Card.
  
• • Preferably also holds a European or UK passport (important for ease of travel throughout the rota team’s jurisdictions).
  
• • Exceptional professional track record and qualifications  working within fully staffed households.
  
• • Experience with school-age children and confidence supporting academic work.
  
• • Highly organised, adaptable, and committed, with impeccable personal standards.
  
• • A collaborative mindset and the ability to integrate smoothly into a large, multicultural team.
  
• • Comfortable undergoing a psychometric assessment following the interview stage.
  
• • Personality fit, loyalty, and long-term commitment are crucial.
  

Recruitment Process

• 1. CV submission to agency; suitable profiles forwarded to the family’s team.
  
• 2. First interview with a member of the child’s nanny team and the Head of Childcare.
  
• 3. Interview with the principal, who takes the team’s recommendations seriously.
  
• 4. Psychometric / psychological testing.
  
• 5. Final confirmation and onboarding.
