Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $30 – $32/hr

Position Overview
We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide routine patient care, assist with mobility and daily activities, perform clinical tasks, and support nurses and physicians.
Required Qualifications
NY State PCT/PCA certification.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Aide.
High school diploma or GED.
BLS certification.
Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical functions.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and visitors.
Successful completion of the required in-house training program.
Responsibilities
Greet patients, visitors, and employees professionally and respond to inquiries promptly.
Provide routine patient care, including vital signs, blood glucose testing, venipuncture, EKGs, specimen collection, hygiene, and intake/output monitoring.
Assist patients with lifting, positioning, transferring, ambulation, meals, comfort, and privacy.
Prepare and transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, Surgilift, or on foot as directed by the RN.
Assist with patient examinations, admissions, transfers, and discharges while maintaining patient safety.
Monitor and report changes in patient condition and needs to the responsible nurse or physician.
Document patient observations accurately.
Assist with wound care when assigned under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
