Job Description

A well-established accounting and tax services firm is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper for its accounting team. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows QuickBooks well, enjoys reconciliations, and takes ownership of their work from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and review transactions in QuickBooks Desktop and Online
• Perform bank, credit card, loan, sales tax, payroll and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and support general ledger accounting
• Assist with payroll adjustments and sales tax calculations
• Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Keep detailed records and handle account analysis
• Support general administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a professional services or accounting firm setting
• Hands-on experience with payroll and sales tax calculations, double-entry bookkeeping, GL accounting and account analysis
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach
